It’s a picture of my kitten to tempt you all to take a look,

I need traffic on my website cos I want to sell my book.

I’ve been writing and reediting until it’s made me sick.

And to get my kid to illustrate I’ve had to use a stick.

I know I have ignored you. I know I am to blame.

Who thought that writing nonsense was such a tricky game?

I’ve lured you in with promises now here’s the promised list;

A post of numbered tips will work until you get the gist.

Holidays are common ground, a novelty that’s slick

New Year’s resolutions are a common post draw trick.

A recommendation that reminds me of what I’d like to say;

In two thousand and twenty-two, I’ll write a post each day

Trick Oh 3 is easy it’s the kitten at the top.

Kitten pics are blogging 10, they always really pop.

4 is a bit harder, I bet you can’t guess what I have done;

I’ve written you a poem, rhyming; for a bit of fun.

And now we’ve come to number 5, and I’m at a loss for words,

I’ve thought and thought but I don’t know, this writing’s for the birds.
