This is part 2. If you don’t read part 1 you will be even more confused than reading any of my posts. I do not guarentee reading part 1 will help, but at least you will have tried.
And so, to the story.

…
Princess Tabitha opened the door. She found herself floating again and stopped to regain her concentration on keeping her feet touching the floor. All morning, she had been flying to where she wanted to go unless she concentrated hard. It was very strange.
“Bad news!” announced Empress Alexandria the Insane as Princess Tabitha walked into the throne room.

Alexandria was sprawled on the throne steps, reading then strewing paperwork over the floor.
“I’m sorry,” Princess Tabitha walked to the Empress to see if she could help.
“The bombs aren’t going to be ready in time,” Empress Alexandria sounded dejected. “And it would have been the perfect time.”
“The timing matters?”
“Of course it does,” Empress Alexandria rose to her feet and began to wildly gesticulate. “ Everyone loves Christmas.”
“Oh no, you weren’t planning to ruin Christmas?” said Princess Tabitha.

“Of course not, Silly,” The Empress looked surprised. “Everyone loves Christmas.”
“Yes.”
“So, then Christmas night comes and no one has anything to look forward to.”
“Okay.”
“And boom, we all blow up!” the Empress mimed the action and then smiled happily at her sister. She then looked sadly down at the papers. “But they need more time to make the munitions.”

“Maybe after your birthday.”
“Wow, that’s a great idea.” The Empress beamed at Princess Tabitha and started doing her happy dance with lots of tail wagging.
“Ah, Al_ Your Exalted High Fruit Cakery.”
“Yes,” Alexandria the Insane did not stop dancing.

“Why aren’t you sitting on the throne? Queen Catherine said that was very important protocol.”
“Queen Catherine the Not Quite That Great is a pompous git,” replied the dancing empress.
“Oh!’ said the princess.
“Besides Bertie is using the throne to entertain his new friend.” Alexandria indicated the three dogs sprawled across the double seated throne that their father had commissioned to share with his queen and their pets.”

Princess Tabitha went over to the dogs, Mary the ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel lay on her mother’s cushion gazing adoringly at the new dog, a black and tan or King Charles, Cavalier King Charles seated on the King’s portion of the throne flanked by Bertie the Tricolour or Prince Charles Cavalier. They all seemed very happy. She patted the three dogs, and the new dog licked her hand.
“I wonder where he came from,” mumbled the princess as she wandered towards the far door.
“What was that?” Empress Alexandria the Insane sang to the tune of the Macerena, that was playing in her head in accompaniment to her latest version of the happy dance.
“I wonder_”
The clatter and banging of the large formal doors to the throne room interrupted Princess Tabitha.

“Bloody Hell, where’s the b… Queen Catherine the Not Great In Any Way At All.” A dishevelled young woman in a very low-cut bodice and extremely tight leather vest and riding pants walked into the room and struck a commanding pose with her hands on her hips.

“In prison,” the Empress stated without stopping her Macerenaing.

“Hurray,” said Princess Natasha the Tease. “Did the guys change their minds?”
“What guys?” asked the dancing empress.
“Stop dancing Alex, we need to sort out important ruler stuff,” said Natasha impatiently.
“How dare you address your Empress in such a way.” Alexandria the Insane stopped dancing and managed to look stern for a few moments, before laughing.
“My God, she’s not..” Princess Natasha addressed herself to Tabitha.
“She is.” Princess Tabitha said sadly then turned and curtseyed deeply to her sister. “Your Exalted High Fruit Cakery?”

“Yeeess.”
“May I beg your permission to withdraw with our youngest sister, to brief her on the new court etiquette and procedures?”
“Sure,” the empress started to dance again turning her back on the princesses.

“Is she Insane?” hissed Princess Natasha.
“Of course I am, it’s in the name.” sang the empress happily.
Part 3 coming.
