Guest Challenge – Tabby’s Turn

Tabitha.

I set a homework assignment for Tabitha because she wanted to practice creative writing.

The task: A 59 word story containing the word – ‘Flow’.

The result:

I felt the waters of the ocean flow past me,
leading me to somewhere unknown. I opened my
eyes for the first time and saw a bright sky.
‘Where am I? Who am I?’ These thoughts raced
through my head. A single thought came to me.
My name is Ri. My goal to bring night back to
the world.
Parting ocean
Two large waves parting in the ocean.
Well done Tabby.

  1. Love! This is moody, crisp, and provides a resolution and mystery at the same time. Time for Tabby to start a flash fiction blog, I think!

    1. Thank you, I’ll pass it on. I’m so proud; initially she didn’t want to try because she has never written so few words and didn’t think she would be able to. So proud! 🙂

  2. *wow!*

that is haunting and incredible! bravo, tabitha– i got chills.

    1. Tabitha – I’m very glad that you enjoyed it.
Lisa (Mum) Thank you for your kind words.
