I’m Smokie; I’m a hunter!
You will not see my like.
I follow my prey to the ends of the Earth;
Unless its a bit of a hike.
My best move is to stay very still,
And ambush things that pass.
But I get bored quite quickly,
If things don’t happen fast.
My sister caught a mouse last week.
She trapped it in a shoe.
The humans took it outside then.
What did you think they’d do?
I need a mousie of my own!
To prove that I’m still king!
To stop the girl cats laughing,
and calling ‘Lazy Thing!’
I found a hole in the dog food bag,
Behind an oft closed door;
So I know the mousies’ been here!
Perhaps they’ll come once more!
Yesterday I caught a mousie,
And proved I was the best!
From inside my mouth he ran away!
Why? Â I can not guess!
But I caught him! Â That’s the point I say!
But Pixie disagrees!
‘Unless the humans get the mouse,
I still get to tease!’
‘So you must catch the mouse and hold him,
Till they take the mouse away.’
I know he’s coming back again!
I’ll just wait here all day!

to read about your four-legged and lazy ball of fuzz!
(i think its been 24 hours, though with the time difference its tricky to say for sure.)
