The ASD of My Poetry

The ASD of my Poetry

I need to keep things happy,

I need things to be calm.

Don’t look below the surface

And I won’t come to harm.

For just below my surface

Is a maelstrom that I fear;

A cacophony of endless taunts

That I, alone, can hear.

And so I write a poem

Dressed up in silly garb.

The poem can’t be personal,

I cannot risk the barb.

I hear about the bad news

Then like lightening I move on,

Because I know the Darkness,

Where I fear soon I’ll be gone.

  1. Thank you for the like, but once again another terrorist attack. I do believe we’re living in the last days because these are times like no other. Take care now.
