Why I Started a Blog

I started a blog because:

  1. I am extremely arrogant & think the world needs to hear my voice.
  2. I thought no one would read it.
  3. People I annoy with my endless prattling; volunteers, therapists, etc., would be given an escape route, they could pretend to read my blog instead of pretending to listen to me.
  4. My Mum told me to.

So I went to a workshop about blogging at the KSP Writer’s Centre it was presented by Annabel Smith who was great.  If you are interested in writing or quite frankly if you are autistic and can write at all get involved with the KSP Writer’s Centre, my daughter, mother & I go to a writer’s club every week and it is fantastic.

I was blown away by the workshop and so came straight home to create my own blog.  I couldn’t of course but after only a couple of dozen attempts of mine my eldest got through on her first try.  So I too used Window’s Edge to get on the website & created a blog!

Yahoo!

And contrary to the warning we received someone I don’t know read it!

Yahooer!!

And liked it!

Yahooest of all!!!

Now if anyone reads this to understand I have ASD.  For this and other reasons I don’t know how to communicate with human beings; the strange and largely illogical species who dominate the planet I am (currently) restricted to; even face to face.  So please correct me, rebuke me, praise me (even if you lie) & send me tips on this new form of communication or anything else.

I am going to need all the help I can get!

  1. Hi! Thanks so much for the follow! You wouldn’t know it from what I’ve posted so far but I work 1 to 1 with an autistic child who is 7 years old, so I love reading about people’s first hand experiences with autism. It helps me learn so much! I look forward to reading more about you and your wonderful family! 🙂 Ellen x
